About Us
The California Department of General Services (DGS) administers the Environmentally Preferable Purchasing (EPP) program for California state agencies searching for environmentally responsible and cost-effective procurement options. DGS’ Procurement Division (PD) oversees the EPP program under Public Contact Code (PCC) §12400-12404.
The EPP program promotes the environmental benefits of spending decisions made by state agencies. The EPP program evaluates goods and services on a case-by-case basis and determines if there are opportunities to include or enhance environmental attributes.
