Sierra Nevada Conservancy (SNC)
The Sierra Nevada Region provides a wealth of vitally important benefits to the people of California including more than 60% of the State's developed water supply, habitat for an incredibly diverse range of wildlife, renewable energy generation, and carbon sequestration, just to name a few. In addition, millions of people from California and around the world come to the Sierra to recreate and experience the beauty and grandeur of its iconic landscapes. Unfortunately, these benefits are at risk and action must be taken to protect and enhance them.
